Personal Development

In the previous blog I talked about how regular swimming training was one way to practice self-care and how taking action and dealing with my challenges a day at a time helped me stay sane.  Other ways I have been practicing self-care is using coMra therapy and eating healthier.

coMra therapy is part of my life for the last 9 years already

For prevention, I take the time to do a simple 10-minute treatment every other day to boost my immune system and oxygenate my blood; the Universal 3 treatment.  The first thing I noticed when I started using coMra therapy 9 years ago, was that I stopped getting the usual flues that would put me in bed at the turn of the seasons, especially during Springs and Falls.  I also started feeling more energetic throughout the day, which also improved my performance in my swimming training.  coMra was a lifesaver for my athletic injuries due to overuse of certain muscles, especially my shoulders due to the repetitive rotations.

Being able to naturally heal my injuries with coMra and not taking toxic pills is very empowering!

Having hands on personal experience on how coMra works and how effective it is was also the reason that I decided to promote it in Greece and Cyprus.

Another very important thing I did to take care of my general well being was to switch to a gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free diet two years ago.

It was difficult at the beginning as I was a big bread and cheese eater, but finding alternative healthier ways did not take long.  The cravings stopped after a month and my body is healthier than ever!  I stopped being bloated, having heartburn and my skin looks healthier than ever.  Sugar in dairy products causes the body to release insulin-like growth factor, which triggers inflammation and breaks down collagen and elastin in your skin.  Glucose triggers enzymes that break down tissues, including collagen and elastin as well, so cutting down on dairy and sugar is a must for a healthier and beautiful skin and body!
